Condoms are not foolproof. Indeed, they are rather fool-prone. If there is a mistake to be made while applying a condom, chances are someone in condom history has made it. So, here are some tips to avoid mishaps in the moment.
Tip 1 –
Practice. Don’t scoff. If you learn how to apply a condom yourself, you can prevent later accidents. And wouldn’t you rather make your mistakes alone instead of in front of a partner?
Tip 2 –
Don’t open condoms with your teeth or any other sharp object to open the condom wrapper. The idea is to keep the condom intact.
Tip 3 –
Heat isn’t good for condoms. Regardless of popular films, it’s not a good idea to keep a supply in your wallet or glove box.
Tip 4 –
If you think you may have gotten semen on the condom during application, get a new condom.
Tip 5 –
Don’t use oil-based lubricants, such as Vaseline or baby oil with Latex. Oils weaken Latex.
Tip 6 –
If the condom breaks during use, don’t pretend it didn’t happen. Stop immediately and get a new condom.
Tip 7 –
Remove the condom while the penis is still erect. Roll it down the shaft of the penis until it can slide off.
Tip 8 –
To dispose of the condom, wrap it up and throw it in the trash. Do not flush it. Latex doesn’t disintegrate in water.
Tip 9 –
Never reuse the same condom.
